You may go to gangotri via haridwar route too from New Delhi. The distance from New Delhi to Haridwar by road is 219.9 kilometers via the NH334 road. From Haridwar, follow the NH34 route to reach Uttarkashi, covering Rishikesh, Narendranagar, Tehri, Dharasu Bend.

How to Reach Gangotri by Air

If you want to reach gangotri via air, then avail flights to the Jolly Grant Airport, that is, the Dehradun Airport which is located at a distance of 20.8 kilometers from Rishikesh and 267.6 kilometers from Gangotri. Regular cars, taxis, and bus services are available from the airport to reach Gangotri.

How to Reach Gangotri by Train

You can come to gangotri via rail routes too through the Dehradun Railway Station. Other railway stations like, the Kotdwar Railway Station, Haridwar Railway Station, or the nearest Rishikesh Railway Station are also there. But the frequency of trains from Dehradun, Rishikesh and Kotdwar are very less with only few arrivals. Thus, Haridwar Railway Station is the ideal one to avail if you are going to gangotri by train. Gangotri is located at a distance of 286.8 kilometres from Haridwar Railway Station which needs to be covered via road.
