How to Complete Uttarakhand Char Dham in 9 Days

Chardham is the most popular religious track visited by lakhs of devotees every year. Chardham Yatra fulfils only after visiting the four pilgrimage Dhams (Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri), which are placed at Garhwal region and are considered as most sacred places in India. Chardham Yatra Packages Haridwar is well known as spiritual yatra starting from April – May and continues till October – November every year in Uttarakhand. These four sacred temples route to the four sacred rivers namely River Yamuna (Yamunotri), River Ganga (Gangotri). River Mandakini (Kedarnath) and River Alakananda (Badrinath).

9 Days Chardham Yatra Ex-Haridwar

The 9 days Chardham yatra package Haridwar offers sacred darshan of all four shrine with comfortable facilities.

DAY 01: Haridwar – Barkot

Once after your arrival to Haridwar, you will directly check into a hotel in Barkot via kempty fall. Your night will be at Barkot on the first day. In summer, Barkot whether ranges from 25-30 degree Celcius and in winter, 10 – 5 degrees.

DAY 02: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot

The day rises and your drive starts to Jankichatti via Hanuman Chatti and from here you will have a star trek to Yamunotri about 6kms which is either by walk or by horse or by Doli. After having a Holy dip in Jamunabai Kund ’s, you will be having dharshanam of “Yamunaji” and then back to Jankichatti by trek. Again overnight stay at Barkot. The temperature of Yamunotri during summer ranges from 10 – 18 degrees Celcius.

DAY 03: Barkot – Uttarkashi

On the route to Uttarkashi via Shri Prakateswar Cave sacred to Lord Shiva ( a 10ms trek from the road) you will enroute Shri Kashi Viswanath temple and overnight stay at Uttarkashi hotel. Uttarkashi temperature ranges from 30 – 35 degrees Celcius in summer and cold in winters.

DAY 04: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi

While the drive to Gangotri, you will have a holy dip in Garam Kund and then drive to Gangotri via beautiful Harsil Valley. Harsil is famous for its natural beauty and its deodar trees and mountains. After arriving Gangotri and having a holy dip in River Ganges you will be participating in pooja and darshan. Later enjoy the beautiful sceneries of Gangotri and back to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.
The maximum temperature at Gangotri is up to 20 degrees Celcius. You need to carry woollen clothes while visiting Gangotri.

DAY 05: Uttarkashi – Guptakashi

Guptakashi means “Hidden Benaras”. Mythology says how shiva concealed himself at Guptakashi when Pandavas were searching for a glimpse of Shiva. But later fled from them further up the valley to Kedarnath, where Pandavas finally fulfilled their wish.
On this day you will drive to Guptakashi via Moolgarh and Lambgoan across beautiful river Mandakini at Tilwara. The river Mandakini comes from Kedarnath to reach Guptakashi and visit Ardh Narishwar temple at Guptakashi and overnight stay at Guptakashi. The temperature ranges from 25 – 30 degree Celsius in Guptakashi during summer.

DAY 06: Guptakashi – Kedarnath – Guptakahsi

On the way towards Shree Kedarnath, you will be visiting Gaurikund which is 32kms away from Guptakashi, after having a holy dip in Gaurikund take 14 km trek to Kedarnath. Once after trek has done, you will check in to the hotel and have some rest. Later you will be performing pooja and also Dharshan at Kedarnath Ji. You can also visit Adhi Sankaracharya samadhi behind the temple and back to Gupta Kashi and have overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 07: Guptakashi – Badrinath

After leaving Guptakashi, check in to the hotel in Badrinath. You will take a holy dip in Tapt Kund and have a darshan of Badrivishal. Badrinath is the most popular pilgrimage spots of the country spotted in between two mountains ranges Nar and Narayana. The maximum temperature will be ranging from 8 – 18 degrees Celcius.

DAY 08: Badrinath – Rudraprayag

On day 8, you will have a drive to Rudraprayag via Joshimath. After visiting Narsingh temple in Joshimath you will later drive back to Rudraprayag. Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayag of Alakananda. The temperature of Rudraprayag ranges from 35 – 40 degrees Celcius during summer and 20 – 5 degrees in winter.

DAY 09: Rudraprayag – Haridwar

The final day drive is from Rudraprayag to Haridwar via Rishikesh. Rishikesh is well known as a place of sages on the bank of Ganga. It is located on the foothills of Himalaya. It reflects itself as the “Yoga Capital of the world”.
