On Maha Shivaratri, the Kedarnath Temple opening date was announced during a religious ceremony led by Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Chairman Ajendra Ajay at the Panchkedar Gaddisthal Shri Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath. The Rawal, Acharya, and other Vedapathis of the Omkareshwar Temple confirmed that the temple doors will open on the auspicious day of 22 April at 8:00 AM.
