1.) Ganapati Temple
The Pilgrimage Making. One of the Visiting Place in Sangli, this is most famous. This place is never devoid of followers. In 1843, Thorle Chintamanrao Patwardhan, constructed this temple. This is the Temple of Ganapati,the Guardian Deity of Sangli. The king put the idol in the temple by himself. The other rare characteristic of this temple is the black stone architecture which is not common at all. The whole temple occupies an area of approximately two acres. 2.) Sangmeshwar Temple

3.) Bahubali Hill Temple – Culture Notes
This is one of Sangli’s major tourist attractions. This temple is located slightly distant from the central town of Sangli. Kumbhojgiri, the well-known Bahubali hills. It is home to a 28-ft high standing statue of the saint Bahubali. Legend has it that sage Bahubali meditated over here 400 years ago. People from all around the country visit this place to say their prayers. There are statues of the Tirthankaras apart from that one statue. Some of the other temples are named after the hills they stand on. Just the actual location of the temple is a spectacular view to watch. 5.) Chandoli National Park
Get Refreshed in the Lap of Nature! This is one of the must visit places in Sangli. It was previously a wildlife sanctuary. The south end of Chandoli National Park has the Sahyadri Tiger Reserve presently. Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the northern part of the forest. This National Park is quite big, and one gets to see many different types of animals. The national park is found in the western coastal area and the forest type is a combination of the Malabar Coast moist forests situated on one hand and North Western Ghats moist deciduous forests. Some of the most common trees here include Indian Gooseberry, Crape Myrtle, Ajani ironwood tree, Jamun, Pisa, Katak and Spinous kino tree. Fauna in Botanic Gardens hence comprises of 23 species of mammals and 122 species of birds due to the high number. The sanctuary with an area covers of 10.87 square kilometres is one of the best tourism places in Sangli that consists mainly of forest cover on grassy slopes. There you can come across such wild animals as goats, rabbits, deer, jackals wild & peacocks including blackbucks. A large number of insects, reptiles and birds also inhabit this place. 7.) Gokak Waterfall: Awe-inspiring beauty
A slight distance away from the Gokak waterfall and the main city of Sangli. It takes place at Sangli river. For the most part, people compare this stunning waterfall to the Niagara Falls because of its height, form and speed. The waterfalls down to 177 metres. The water is reddish and the monsoons makes it very murky and to fall with a dull noise that can be heard from a distance. The waterfall is named after the Goki trees which are located throughout this area.
