1.) Ganapati Temple

The Pilgrimage Making. One of the Visiting Place in Sangli, this is most famous. This place is never devoid of followers. In 1843, Thorle Chintamanrao Patwardhan, constructed this temple. This is the Temple of Ganapati,the Guardian Deity of Sangli. The king put the idol in the temple by himself. The other rare characteristic of this temple is the black stone architecture which is not common at all. The whole temple occupies an area of approximately two acres. It is home to a 28-ft high standing statue of the saint Bahubali. Legend has it that sage Bahubali meditated over here 400 years ago.
