Being a part of Panch Badri temples, Bhavishya Badri is located at an elevation of 2744 meters from the sea level. Bhavishya Badri, one of the most sacred places for Hindus, is only 17 Km away from Joshimath and, according to the folk tale, is the future adobe of Badrinath, Lord Vishnu.
The panch Badri, Badrinath, Yogdhyan Badri, Adi Badri, Vridha Badri, and Bhavishya Badri are put together by the Adi Shankaracharya to foster Hindu culture in the country. If we go with the legends, then at the end of this Kali Yuga, Nara and Narayana mountains near Badrinath Dham will obstruct the route to the temple. Then the Lord Vishnu will appear in Bhavishya Badri temple.
At present, you will find the Narasimha Avatar of Lord Vishnu along with a rock adjacent to the temple that features the shape of God. The surrounding of Bhavishya Badri is a treat to your eye, thousands of cedar trees enfold this blessed place along with a beautiful water spring. On the other hand, the approach to Bhavishya Badri alongside the Dhauliganga river is just incredibly beautiful.
The Best time to visit Bhavishya Badri is from March to May and again September to November. The temple usually opens at 7 AM and closes sharp at 6 PM.
