Char Dham Yatra 2023 Opening & Closing Dates Announced

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami recently announced the opening dates of the Char Dham Yatra 2023 due to take place in Uttarakhand. He announced the Char Dham Yatra opening dates in the presence of the Tehri royal family on the auspicious day of Basant Panchmi. Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) decides the Char Dham Yatra opening and closing dates every year. These dates are decided based on the Hindu calendar. Chardham Yatra Opening Dates 2023

In 2023, the Char Dham Yatra will start on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya, which falls on April 22. The gates of Gangotri Dham and Yamunotri Dham will open on April 22. Badrinath Dham will open on April 27, 2023. Kedarnath Dham opening dates will be announced on the holy day of Mahashivratri, which falls on February 18, 2023. Tourists and devotees come from all over the world to pray at the popular shrines and temples in Uttrakhand. Last year in 2022, Badrinath Dham had the maximum number of tourists at 17.6 lakh. 15.6 lakh people visited Kedarnath, Gangotri 6.2 lakh, and Yamunotri had 4.8 lakh tourists. Even Hemkund Sahib, which is the highest altitude gurudwara in the world, had 2.4 lakh people. The total number of pilgrims during the 2022 Char Dham Yatra was more than 45 lakh.
