Gaumukh Tapovan Trek – Within the 6 night 7 days Gomukh Tapovan Trek Package, can explore the beauty of Gaumukh Glacier and Tapovan. Gaumukh is the main source of river Ganges. Along with you can visit more attractions on the way as well. It is also an important pilgrimage site for the Hindus and a dip in its water is considered as a sacred ritual.

Itinerary

Day 01: Dehradun – Gangotri (240kms/7-8hr).

Morning meet our driver at Dehradun & drive for Gangotri via Uttarkashi, Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi. Later drive straight to Gangotri. Check into the hotel arrival in Gangotri. Overnight stay at Gangotri.

Day 02: Gangotri – Bhojwasa

In the morning visit the Gangotri Temple and purchase the necessary items from the market. After that start the trek for Bhojwasa via Chirwasa. After 2 Kms trekking toward to Chirbasa, you need to show permits. After 14 Kms trekking rech the Bhojbasa. On arrival at Bhojbasa stay in Camp.

Day 03: Bhojwasa – Gaumukh Glacier – Tapovan.

Morning after breakfast, start the trekking to Gaumukh Glacier. Gaumukh is 4 Kms from the Bhojwasa, On arrival at Gaumukh explore the beauty of Gaumukh Glacier and again start to trek to reach Tapovan and get acclimatized.

Day 04: Tapovan – Meru Glacier – Tapovan

Next morning after breakfast explore the more peaks of mountain as well. Tapovan is located at the foot of Mount Shivling peak, Karch kund and Meru Peak. You can explore the highlands of Tapovan where Akash Ganga ceaselessly passes through the wide meadow overlooking Shivling Peak on right and Bhagirathi Peaks on left. Our personal recommendation for this day is an upclose view of Meru Peak. It takes around 3 hours of walk over moraines to reach the snout of Meru Glacier.

Day 05: Tapovan – Chirbasa (14 kms Trek)

Morning after breakfast, start the trek to Chirbasa via Bhojbasa. Its approx 14 Kms trek to reach Chirbasa. On arrival at Chirwasa stay at Campsite.

Day 06: Chirwasa – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (9 Kms Trek/ 100 kms Drive).

Next Days in the morning after breakfast trek down to Gangotri, its take the time approx. 3-4 hrs. Reach the Gangotri and meet our driver and transfer to Uttarkashi. Check-in the hotel and overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Day 07: Uttarkashi – Dehradun (150kms/5-6 Hrs.)

In the morning after breakfast drive to Dehradun. On arrival at Dehradun drop at Dehradun Airport/Railway Station/Hotel/Home.
