Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVAL MANALI

On your arrival at Manali city you will get a warm welcome from shrine yatra representative at hotel premises. Our representative will hand over all your tour related documents and will give you a brief about the tour. The entire day is at your own disposal and you may plan to visit Solang Valley where one can enjoy paragliding, visit Hadimba temple, Vashisht village where you may take dips at hot water spring, Mall Road. Remember to wrap up any last minute shopping and come back to hotel by evening. From here we gear up for an early morning adventurous ride through Pir Panjal range of The Great Himalayas.

DAY 02: MANALI – JISPA

The second day of Leh Ladakh tour highlights crossing the Rohtang Pass and so after having a healthy breakfast, we hit the road for Jispa, via the first pass on Manali Leh highway, Rohtang, which connects Kullu valley with Lahaul Spiti Valley. You will enjoy mesmerizing scenic beauty along with Chandara and Bhaga river. We halt at Jispa. Get refreshed and start again the next morning.

DAY 03: JISPA – SARCHU

Today we drive to Sarchu. As you leave Jispa, you enter the Greater Himalayan landscape. This highway route, takes you into the heart of the mountains. Enjoy the splendid view as you pass through the Baralachha Pass (5000 meters above sea level). Keep driving towards Sarchu which is the border line between Kashmir and Himachal. From there, we drive to Sarchu camp. Relax for the rest of day and keep a high intake on fluids to keep away AMS (acute mountain sickness). Stay overnight in camp.

DAY 04: SARCHU TO LEH

After an early breakfast, we leave for the last leg of our onward journey towards Leh. You will cross Gata Loops, the 21 hair pin bends and will get the chance to ride on all types of road i.e tarmac, stony, quick and unbelievable U turns. You will actually get to know as to why this road is often called by many as the “Highway to Hell”. We break for lunch at Pang and then drive on towards Leh, passing through Skyangchu Thang (a vast plateau stretching for 42 kms) and then crossing Tanglang-La (17,585ft) and driving through the upper Indus Valley. Reach Leh by evening. Check in and relax overnite in Leh.

DAY 05: REST DAY IN LEH

On the fifth day of this tour, you can enjoy Leh as a place. After a hearty breakfast, set out for local sightseeing, exploring Leh and the neighboring attractions, visiting Shanti Stupa, Jama Masjid, Leh Palace, Polo Grounds, Stock village, magnetic hill and the War Museum to name a few. In the later part of the day, check and gear up the bikes as necessary and get ready for the adventure that is to follow the next day.

DAY 06: LEH – NUBRA VIA KHARDUNG-LA

Gear up and speed off on the smooth tarmac to meet the board showing “The Highest Motorable Road in the world” at Khardung La Pass. After taking a break for photo session on this high pass to the Nubra Valley, we head towards Khardung village where you can have a quick break for tea and snacks. We proceed towards Nubra Valley as we cross the Khalsar and Diskit sectors. Overnight stay at camp.

DAY 07: NUBRA – PANGONG LAKE VIA SHYOK ROUTE

From Nubra Valley, we head towards yet another fascinating place, Pangong Lake via Shyok route. We take a left from DURBUK. After crossing Tangtse, you will see the first view of world famous Pangong TSO. Spend the night at lake side camps. This gives us an additional opportunity to ride/drive as real off roading and experience water crossing. This also saves a day for us and we get a chance to ride along the SHYOK RIVER.

DAY 08: PANGONG – LEH VIA CHANG-LA

After spending an unforgettable night on the bank of Pangong TSO, post breakfast we head towards Leh. Enroute we will cross the Changla Pass ( 3rd highest motorable pass), have a quick break at Karu for refreshment. Overnight stay in your hotel at Leh.

DAY 09: DEPART FOR HOME

After breakfast it’s time for both of us to say good bye and your memorable dream tour concludes here. Carry sweet unforgettable memories of Ladakh to cherish throughout life.
