India's New Path: Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Uttarakhand

During the long delay of the Kailash Mansarovar trip still affects things, the Uttarakhand Tourism Department is working hard to find other ways. Their goal is to give visitors a special chance to see Mount Kailash. People think it's the home of Lord Shiva and can be seen from Lipulekh Peak which has been around for ages.

This journey is very important in Hinduism. It's believed that if you just look at Mount Kailash, all your dreams will come true - a holy place linked with Lord Shiva. Before, the trip to Kailash Mansarovar needed going through next-door countries like China and Nepal.

Unluckily, the yatra stopped in 2020 because of worldwide health problems and it hasn't started again yet. Now, good news lets people see the big Mount Kailash from Uttarakhand. This means they don't need to go all the way to Tibet for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra pilgrimage anymore.

Successful Completion of Government Officials Inspection

The person in charge of tourism for Uttarakhand created a team to work together on learning about Mount Kailash. The group, made up of people from the travel department plus experts in adventure trips and members of Border Roads Organisation recently went to check out Lipulekh peak.

A place with a lot of history there. Divesh Shashani, who is in charge of Dharchula said that they carefully checked Lipulekh and other places as ordered by the Tourism Secretary. They visited Om Parvat and Adi Kailash too with them on this mission. A full partnership report is being made and will soon be sent to the tourism department.

The SDM talked more and he said that the beautiful view of Mount Kailash can only be seen from the very top point of the old Lipulekh hill. The government wants to help tourism grow in Dharchula. This is a border place found within the Pithoragarh part of Uttarakhand state.

The joint group is busy making plans for accommodations, food and other basic needs along the chosen pathway. High up in Dharchula, Pithoragarh at 18000 feet is the old Lipulekh mountain overlook. It gives a clean and amazing look of Mount Kailash. Importantly, the area height of these mountains is just 50 kilometres apart.
