Triveni Ghat – Ganga Arti

The Ganga Aarti at the Triveni Ghat of Rishikesh is the most spectacular sight to witness. The holy Ganges is worshipped through the aarti, during the early morning and in the evening. It is located only 1.5 kilometers away from Rishikesh Bus Terminal and will take hardly a few minutes.

Ram Jhula

It is the major Attraction of the Rishikesh, is the suspended bridge, Ram Jhula. The bridge spans over 450 feet and offers major sightseeing scopes of Sivananda Ashram and Swargashram, keeping the panoramic views in the background.

Lakshman Jhula

Lakshman Jhula is a bridge across the River Ganga, standing erect without any iron suspension. It is well connected to Pauri District. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the whole city along with the swiftly-flowing holy Ganges.

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple

At a distance of 25 kilometers from Rishikesh city bus terminus, is the sacred temple of Lord Shiva, located on the 1330 meters high hill. On visiting the temple, pilgrims can also witness the spectacular Nar Narayan mountain range, at an adjacent direction.

Parmarth Niketan

Being one of the top yoga centers, the ashram marks its existence 3 kilometers from Rishikesh, since the 19th century. It was initially founded by Swami Shukdevanand Saraswati on the banks of Ganga and tourists flock here to seek peace of mind.

Rishikund

Rishikund, approx 2 kilometers from the bus terminus of Rishikesh. It is a holy ancient pond which is believed to have the blessings of Goddess Yamuna. The major attraction is the reflection of Raghunath Temple in the pond water.

Vashistha Cave

It is approx 20 kilometers from the city of Rishikesh, the Vashistha Cave takes to the ancient historical story of Sage Vashistha’s meditation. Presently, a lingam of Lord Shiva is worshipped inside the cave and serves as a good meditation spot for the tourists.

Bharat Mandir

Just a kilometer away from the hub of Rishikesh city, is the ancient temple, dedicated to Lord Hrishikesh Narayan. The major attraction of the temple is during Basant Panchami when the Shaligram of the temple is taken to the nearby Mayakund for a holy bath, led by a grand procession.

Kunjapuri Devi Temple

Consider among one of the fifty-two Shakti Peethas of India. The ancient temple is approx 26 kilometers away from the bus terminus of Rishikesh. The beautiful temple is located on the hill-top and one needs to ride eighty steps to reach the temple.

Swargashram

Built in the memory of Swami Vishudhanand, the ashram is located only 3 kilometers away from Rishikesh. The ashram complex possesses a number of ashrams and complexes. It is greatly renowned among the tourists for its ethnic touch and religious activities.
