Parli Vaijnath Temple Legend
The temple has its roots in the mythological legend about Samudra Manthan or the Churning of the Ocean. The unique thing about this temple is that Shiva and Vishnu are both associated with it. According to this legend, Lord Shiva hid Dhanwantari, the Celestial Healer of Physicians of the Gods, in a Shiv Linga.
