1.) Kaas Plateau
Kaas Plateau, commonly pronounced as Kaas Pathar is a rich deeper fiery volcanic reddish soil located in Satara. One of the best places to visit in Satara is close from Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar and it is Kaas Plateau. Sahyadri Subregions. Kaas Plateau is something that if you are a nature lover would not want to miss. In the late monsoons, the plateau is alive for its original form and it shines astonishingly. 2.) Pratapgarh Fort
With an elevation of around 3500 feet from ground, the citadel is located near Mahabaleshwar hill station in Satara district. Many of the fortifications remain intact making it a popular tour site. Inside the fort are four lakes, some of which get flooded during the monsoons. At the end of the motorable road, there is a watchtower just beside Mahadarwaza or the main entrance. About 60 years ago, a statue of Shivaji Maharaj was installed in his full glory. The fort has a Bhawani temple on its peak and a cultural library which presents the history of the fort. 3.) Kamalgad Fort
Kamalgad is a square shaped hill fort situated at an average height of feet above sea level, among the promiment forts within Satara area. 5.) Mahabaleshwar Temple
Mahabaleshwar temple is an ancient shrine which embodies the essence heritage of maratha. Called Mahabali popularly, the temple attracts thousands of tourists and devotees all around the year who come here for peace and tranquillity. Lord Shiva is the ruling god in this temple and it is very popular with Hindus. Situated in a breathtaking landscape, this lovely shrine is dedicated to the memory of Maratha Empire and its rule during the sixteenth century. The remarkable temple is enclosed within a five feet high wall and is made up of the inner and outer chambers. It is Shiva that resides in the inner shrine called the sanctum sanctorum. On the premises of this temple there is located the bed of Lord Shiva, drum damru, Trident trishula, carvings of his hallowed bull and of Kalbhairav -that epitomize his being here. The most striking features about that temple was a six feet long Shivling whose tip only was exposed – this particular image that represented the very spirit of lord Shiv. 6.) Panchgani
Panchgani is another beautiful hill station in Mahabaleshwar region of Maharashtra. At a height of 1,334mts above sea-level, Panchgani also has another name, Paachgani due to five hills which form the Sahyadri Mountain ranges and give it this name. One of the best and nearest points for viewing Mahabaleshwar is called Arthur’s Seat, and it is situated about 13 km away from Mahabaleshwar. This point is also referred as the Suicide Point because this point offers the most thrilling and enchanting view of the dense valleys of Brahama-Arayan and a savitri River. The six viewpoints of Arthur’s Seat point are; Arthur’s Seat Point, Tiger Short Point, Hunter Pint, Echo Point, Window Point and Malcolm Pint. Floating of light objects can occur in Arthur’s Seat. Therefore, in case you toss light weights like a bottle cap down the valley; it floats back because of the air pressure. This point bears the name of Arthur’s Point. Malet’s wife and daughter were killed by the Savitri River, so it became like that. He would perch here & gaze down at the flowing waterfall. 12.) Wilson Point

14.) Lingmala Waterfall
The Maharashtra state’s waterfall, Lingmala Waterfall, is magnificent and simply amazing located along Pune-Mahabaleshwar Road. The water falls is at the side of the Lingmala Forest Bungalow and has an overlooking of Dhobi Waterfall as well as Chinaman’s Waterfall.
